Betfair-OnGame: Betfair’s Matt Mowlam on iPoker Move

The person who played a key role in Betfair’s move to the iPoker network was head of Betfair’s poker operations, Matt Mowlam. According to Mowlam, the move was a rather natural one in light of the fact that Betfair had long struck up a partnership with Playtech in regards to the online casino side of their operation. Mowlam has also confirmed in a recent interview that Betfair will indeed join iPoker’s top tier.

Mowlam also revealed that the new Betfair poker will offer a set of souped-up promotions, like the $2k Bankroll Kickstarter Bonus, which will be aimed at their existing players. The move will be a smooth one according to the Betfair exec, because the site will continue to exist on the Ongame network too for a while, giving players the possibility to choose the time when they want to make the move.
